how does the process work?
By pairing the safe Blomdahl (pronounced "bloom-doll") ear piercing system with the privacy and comfort of a medical office setting, a unique “medical ear piercing experience” is created.
Here at Milestone Pediatrics, we love the Blomdahl system, because the piercing studs are top quality and are designed to prevent nickel allergy. Their medical grade plastic studs are the only ear piercing earring in the world made with 0% nickel.
The Blomdahl system also features studs made of titanium which is the safest of all metals from an allergy perspective (more so than stainless/surgical steel). Unlike traditional ear piercing guns that may risk transmission of blood-borne pathogens, we use a sterile, single use cassette from Blomdahl to prevent the risk of infection or contamination.
can you pierce both ears at once?
Yes! Children and parents alike appreciate our ability to pierce both earlobes simultaneously. Your child can choose their favorite earring style from a selection at the office.
is my child eligible?
This service is available to members of Milestone Pediatrics and also to non-members.
The cost, including earrings, is $100 for non-members and $80 for members.
We do not offer ear piercing in infants until at least 2 weeks after the 2-month immunizations.
If your child is not a member of Milestone Pediatrics, you must bring proof of immunization.
